Functions as a Service (FAAS)

A function that is triggered whenever a ‘cloud event’ occurs. It reduces the complexity of running and setting up a back-end and servers.
As an example: let’s say a website is deployed (uploaded) to a server. After deployment is done, a signal is given to the cloud function (ie. the ‘function as a service’) which automatically makes a backup of that deployment.
