HTML

HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It is the standard markup language for creating websites and web apps.
The HTML-code contains the meaning and structure of the content of a web page. HTML is made up of elements, which can be applied to pieces of content to give them different meaning in a document, structure a document into logical sections and embed content such as images and videos into a page. The browser will read HTML and render it into a web page.
For example, heading-elements and paragraph-elements can be used to describe a piece of text in a meaningful way.
