Visual Design
Visual design (VD) focuses on the aesthetics of a site. It aims to shape and improve the user experience through considering the effects of illustrations, photography, typography, space, layouts and color. Using these elements the visual designer creates a design for an usable and aesthetically pleasing digital product.
A visual designer can create a design from scratch, but can also build on top of an existing interaction design.
Both the interaction design and visual design will be used by the front-end developer to build the digital product.
